DATES OF 2007 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
26 Jun., 11 Sep., 13 Oct.(AGM), 13 Nov.
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.
RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM
The annual dinner will take place at Haughton Hall, Shifnal on Friday 12th
Oct. 2007. The AGM is at the RAF Museum Cosford on Saturday 13th Oct. 2007

RAFARS QRV JOURNAL RECEIVES MAGAZINE SHIELD
At the Blackpool Amateur Radio Rally in March 2007, The Northern Amateur
Radio Societies Association Club Magazine Shield was won by RAFARS for the
second year in a row. The editor of QRV, Roy G0TAK, was presented with the
shield by NARSA. Well done Ed.

Roger, our Contest Manager, needs more operators for RSGB NFD in June and
SSBFD in September. He has again put a lot of effort into establishing a
a good site - the large field at Metheringham - for both competitions. The
site is excellent with most of the mod cons so please support Roger. He is
QTHr in all Call Books. If you have GPS, the Post Code for Metheringham is

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
Station was not active on the 14 Apr due to Terry being on Sick Parade.
GB2RAF will be on the air 16 June for the Museums Weekend, but will not be
operational on the 9 June unless Terry gets a volunteer helper.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
