Hi Trev and all,
How unfortunate the ranks of police officers are being cut back now when
you need them most! With crime rates rising and the criminal use of
firearms rising proportionately you should be doing exactly the opposite,
hiring new officers and giving the select training in special weapons and
tactics, SWAT. America may do some dumb things but cutting protection for
our citizens isn't one of them, frankly when things get out of hand we
take a firmer grip. Over the past year the murder rate in Philadelphia
soared but the mayor's response was quick in coming, more cops were hired
and more assigned to the trouble spots. There really is no solution to
crime but a proper response never hurt, cutting back protection makes me
wonder where the council left it's brains. There are always budget woes
but there are priorities, it makes me wonder.
