Hi Greg,

I use AGWpe 2002.10 with Win98se for that sort of reason.
2002.10 seems to do everything I ask it to.
It is able to work with the LU7DID driver over my local LAN for example.

Winpack 6.8 is working fine with AGWpe 2002.10 in it's regular host mode.
I do get Winpack to go into Telnet mode to have a QSO over my home LAN.
It's to do with Winpack not having a fully-featured TCP/IP interface that
UI-View does have.

I don't have the sort of lock ups you mention when I do downloads for
Packet (over the LAN) or with my telephone modem. I can run AGWpe all day
with Winpack & UI-View running, no problem.
