Just a few thoughts:-

1)Have you checked that AGW can see the audio input ? (use the soundcard
tuning aid in AGW).

If yes then make sure you are using Line in and NOT the mic input.
Also make sure that the line input is selected in Windows, use 
Start >> programs >> accessories >> entertainment >> volume control.

Select RECORDING features and select and adjust as neccessary.

WARNING !

The amount of audio seen is CRITICAL, use the soundcard tuning aid in
AGW to see what audio levels it can see and adjust as required until
it's decoding packets properly.
