  Hello All, Photo ID: 0811353

UK - Air Force - RAF AVRO Shackleton MR3/3
London - Gatwick (LGW / EGKK)
                   UK - England, March 26, 2005
  Photographer - Chris Muir - Canon EOS20D & 28-135mm lens.
Permission for me to use it was given.

WR982 / J Now preserved at the Gatwick Aviation Museum Static Display.
This Mk3 example shows the much modified undercarriage with nose wheel.
I used to wonder why these Mk1/2/3s all had retired cricket umpires up
on top probably super-glued on. It turns out they are actually aerials
for the Orange Harvest ECM to detect radar sigs, eg from submarines.

                   http://www.airliners.net/search/

  Size is 1019 x 630 pixels and 54,705 bytes as a JPG.
It should appear as 6 splits around 11 kB each.
Due to the increase in similar pix I will drop releases to 1 a day.

Okay to send my .ERR files to ..................... John, VK6JY @ VK6JY
