Hello all Aero fans as Pieter says..

We appear to have dipped out on the Flypast photo from Phil, ZS1PAN
as previously noted - so I have looked about on the net in case you
are not all able to do so.

UK Air Force, RAF, Avro Shackleton ( Mk2 ?)

Photo at Aden - International (Khormaksar) Yemen, 1963

Photographer: Peter Pickering - Copyright Holder

         URL: www.adenairways.com

----------------------------------------------------------

Peter Pickering granted me specific permission to transmit
this picture over the AR Packet network and is currently
sorting literally thousands of pictures to go into his new
picture gallery as above.

I originally found many Shackleton photos on the following
URL & chose this one as it shows the twin 3-bladed contra-
rotating props very well.

         URL: www.airliners.net

----------------------------------------------------------

This aircraft has the familiar tail dragger attitude of the
Mk1 and Mk2 Shackletons as did AVRO Lancasters and Lincolns.
It is almost certainly from 37 Maritime Shackleton Squadron.
More to follow as permissions are given, but look around if
you have internet access.
