Hello Pieter, ZS7PVW, and all AERO fans.

Pieter's photo OSK271.JPG from Oshkosh is almost certainly the same
aircraft as was owned, maintained and flown by the husband & wife
team named Proctor in a round the world tour. They were from Oregon
and the tail marking used to say " PAS UMPQUA 7908 ".

There appears to have been a few small changes in paint detail.
The aicraft I snapped here, long before digital cameras, was said
to be the only flying unit of its type in existence.

Many were used by the US Coastguard in sea rescue and patrol work
and it is a small long range amphibian. Better detail on the type
will be found by a search on the internet.

The Proctors were both Amateur Radio Ops then but I did not record
their callsigns. Does anyone know their details and the story of
this aircraft since my picture was taken, very approximately 1994?
