Hello Aircraft Fans
This picture shows an Emirates A340-500 Airbus from Melbourne getting
rather crossed up as it touched down at Christchurch Airport. The wind
was from the right quarter on approach, but the pilot drifted too far
to the right across the centre line. He had to make a last moment left
turn to get back to the centre of the runway. As you can see the right
wing drops and wheels were extra smoky at touched down.
The picture was taken on May 14th 2005.
