Hi all,
the following was taken in January 2004, at Ardmore aerodrome, during
the Warbirds Air Display.

It is of a De Havilland Vampire, I think acquired from the RNZ Air Force.
This flyby is the only good shot of this aircraft I was able to get,
taken on near full zoom (12x). It apears yo be a twinseat trainer
(side-by-side). Powered by a Rolls-Royce Goblin.
Because this engine was originally fired by (now unobtainable) cordite
cartridges, an old cartridge case has been modified to operate with
compressed air for starting.

Taken with a Panasonic Lumix FX-1. Zipped with Winzip.

  3 parts of 15k each.
