Subject: Hi speed transformer coupling?

Recently I made a neat boxed interface for data useage using small low
profile transformers. I noticed that in the transformer specification
that the transformers are "rated" to carry upto 2K4 data.

However whilst just looking through the same catalogue of parts I now
see they can supply transformers rated to pass data up to 28Kbps !

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried transformer coupling at high
speeds ?

Also I wonder what speeds can be put through a voice channel, usual
FM voice rig ? I suspect (with my limited knowledge) for AFSK useage
not much more than 3kbaud.

For UK readers, the parts come from Farnell, part number 113-0835 if
anyone is interest.
