Hello to all Six'ers.
The only working 6m repeater in the RSA, is back on its original site, in
Pretoria. This site is on the Magaliesberg, at the Crusher, next to the N1
Pietersburg highway. After being at Kameeldrift West for a while, then at
the Crusher, then at Pieter ZS6PVW's house and then at Japie ZR6JN's house,
it is back at the Crusher now.
The same Vertical Dipole that was used before, is in use again. Previously,
it was at a height of about 20 metres above ground level, now it is on
approximate 30 metres above ground, facing towards Johannesburg. The grid
locator is KG44DH and the height ASL is 1411m.
The input frequency to the repeater, is on 51,150 and the output from the
repeater is on 52,750 MHz. Please try the repeater, and send any reports to
Johan ZS6JPL, or Pieter ZS6PVW @ ZS0DLD BBS.
