Obviously. :-)
It's actually quite simple, Jim: some of us like to use ham radio as a
cellphone-like convenience, others like a challenge that will let them
experiment with different propagation conditions, setups and operating
practices.
Or to put it more bluntly: some people live and learn, others just live.
