General information.
Ogasawara, JD1. 8N1OGA will be QRV on 160-6 meters from Chichijima,
Ogasawara as a special event station to celebrate the Japan Amateur
Radio League's 75th anniversary. The station will be on the air from
around September 18th through the end of January next year. (QSP de The
Daily DX #164)
Barbados, 8P. John, K4BAI, will be going back to Barbados for the ARRL
10 Meter Contest in December, where he will use 8P9Z. He should be QRV
from December 11 to 17 as 8P9HT outside the contest. Look for activity
on 6 through 160 meters. QSL both calls via K4BAI. He will not be on
Barbados for the CQ World Wide CW DX Contest, as he has usually been
since 1986, because the owner of the station there, Tom, W2SC (8P9JG/
8P5A) will be QRV during that time frame. (QSP de The Daily DX #164)
Greenland, OX. Birger OX3UB/OZ1GER, writes; Hi, there will finally be
some activity from east Greenland. I will be active from HP15EO from
sep. 5 th. to sep. 12 th. vy de OX3UB/OZ1GER Birger

has been recalled stateside for a while & hence will be QRT for a week
or so. Due to other obligations I will likely not be joining him when
he returns. Also, the correct QSL route is K3TKJ, - NOT K3KTJ as listed
in the most recent Bulletin 02-034/2 73 DX Dave N3DB

starting the 25th of August. Call on 21.325 when the 7Q7 6 metre beacon
can be heard. You can eQSL Harry on eQSL.CC or via G0JMU. Mike G8VHB

Chatham Isl., ZL7. The Chatham Islands, will be the destination for
the Kermadex DX Association's third operation. It's planned for October
17-28. Due to pirating of the calls of their previous operations, be-
fore they actually arrived and got active (ZL8RI and ZL9RI) they are
not releasing their ZL7 callsign at this time. They say a legitimate
callsign has been issued to them. Among the ops are JF1OCQ, DF4TD,
G4EDG, WF5T, N2WB, KW4DA, K3VN, ZL1CN, ZL2BSJ, ZL2ST, ZL3TY and ZL4HU.
The operation will be on 160-10 with 6 when possible. Donations are
being sought. (QSP de The Daily DX #160)

on the Island of Oahu and will be active as KH6/JA5XAE between the pe-
riod of September 22-26th. He also plans to visit/operate from Waikiki.
