   as 5C2MI from Mogador Island on 23-30 July. They will concentrate on

   Benin, TY. Georges F8OP, writes; (Update) Benin DXpedition 2002: the
   team is arrived (18 th.). F5MOO, F5CWU, F5AOV, F1PJB, will be soon QRV
   from the Ouidah beach, 30 km from Cotonou. The callsigns are: TY7Z,

   Benin, TY. Aditional, Tom DL7AV, writes; TY7Z, TY9F, TY4DX, TY4FB are
   QRV 19 July until 12 Aug from JJ06. 6m freq is 50120, a beacon on 50100

   Maldive Islands, 8Q. (Update) Between July 29 and August 11 a team of
   young DXers (average age 20 years old) will be QRV from the Maldive
   Islands signing 8Q7ZZ. Operations will take place on all HF bands plus
   6 meters with three stations on CW SSB and the digital modes. The team
   will consist of Mark, M0DXR, Robert, M0TTT, Tony, EA2AIJ, and Fabian,
   DJ1YFK. The team has a web page at http://www.8q7zz.com which contains
   lots of information about the DXpedition as well as an online-log which
   will be updated daily by the EU pilot station M5ZAP. QSL via G3SWH ei-

   The Gambia, 9G. Juha Valimaki, OH9MM, says he will be celebrating his
   30th birthday in The Gambia this November. 10 other people, not all
   hams will join him. Juha plans to be near Banjul from November 20 to
   December 1. While there he will do a multi-single or multi-multi in the
   CQ WW CW Contest. There will be activity both before and after the con-
   test on 6 through 160 meters on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. Anyone inte-

   China, BY. Members of the ZheJiang Province Radio Sports Association
   will operate from Sheng-Shan Isl. from July 21 to 29. The group will
   use BI5H on 6 through 80 meters, including the WARC bands. They plan
   to have 3 stations on HF. Team members include BD5HAA, BD5HAG, BD5HAM,
   BG5HAR, BD5HMA, BG4AHZ, BA7NQ, BA7JA and possibly others. More infor-

   Alaska, KL7. Jon N0JK, writes; KE8FD told me during a 6M QSO July 14
   that he will be traveling to Alaska starting this weekend. He plans to
   operate 6M while driving - and hopes to activate many Canadian and
   Alaskan grids. Not sure how long he will be in Alaska - believe about

   Denmark, OZ. (Update) Wilf, DJ6TK, will be spending his holidays on
   Bornholm Island now through July 27th. He expects to be active on CW
   and SSB, mostly during his afternoon or late evening hours as OZ/DJ6TK
   He plans to operate on 6 meters from Grid Square JO75LA and possibly

   Corsica, TK. Georges F8OP, writes; Hello, Nothing changed in F regula-
   tion. The 6 meters is always forbidden in TK, due to the TV transmit-
   ters in band 1. I don't know if F5OZK will be active or not on 6 me-

   most wanted 6m grids in Europe. Activity has been good over the past
   years but i'm sure a lot of hams still need that odd grid in Europe, so
   time to compile a list of those needed ones. The same goes for for the
   NA grids of course. So drop me a line with your 10 most wanted grids
   and while you are at it, include your 10 most wanted dxcc (within 4 hop
