General information.
Denmark, OZ. OZ50MHz DX Bulletin editor, QRV in Nordic Activity Contest
50 MHz section Tuesday November 27 th. 18:00 - 22:00 UT.
I will be QRV round 50.173 MHz ñ QRM, from JO55CE which is on the South
West side of the Island of Fyn. Here I'm situated at one of our highest
points at 128 Asl. with a formidable takeoff 360 deg. round the clock.
The rig used is an Icom IC-706 with 100 watt wich gives my 2*5 Element
Yagi's more than 1 Kw. erp. This should be sufficient to reach stations
within a range of, at least 500 Km even on flat ConDX.
If You want to file a log showing Your efforts in the NAC there is an
open class section. Point 1 point/km, bonus 500 point each WWL.
Log goes to Verner Topsoe, Lundumskovvej 13, DK-8700 Horsens, Denmark
Hope to see You down the log vy 73 de OZ6OM "Matt"
Ukraine, UX0. Nikolay, UX0FF, who has been active on 6 meters lately,
has been heard on 50113.6 kHz between 1300-1430z. He informs OPDX that
there has been some confusion with his CBA address. Some callbooks list
him as being in "Asiatic Russia" which is incorrect. His correct ad-
dress is: Nikolay Lavreka, P.O. Box 3, Izmail, 68600, Ukraine.

Brazil, PY. Christophe F1RPC, writes; Dear om. I will be qrv from Rio
de Janeiro since 20/12/01 for one month on six meter. I will work with
the following conditions: IC-706 MK-I 100W, 5 elements beam, I will
work only random qso from the area of Rio de Janeiro. 73 de Christophe

letin #537)
Libya, 5A. The Daily DX reports that Abubaker Alzway, 5A1A will be soon
leaving Libya; he will go and study in Germany. In the meanwhile a few
new amateur radio licences have been issued to the Assaker Club station
(5A1ASC, QSL via DK4HB), Tark Abu Kris (5A1TA, QSL via EA3GIP) and
Haytm Hashim (5A1HA, QSL via DJ9ZB). (QSP de 425 DX News #550)
Barbados, 8P. John, K4BAI will be active as 8P9HT from Barbados on 20-
27 November. He hopes to use the 8P9Z callsign during the CQ WW DX CW
Contest (SOAB high power). Outside the contest he will concentrate on
160 metres and the WARC bands CW (SSB on request), plus 6 metres CW and
SSB when the band is open. QSLs via K4BAI. [TNX The Daily DX] (QSP de
425 DX News #550)
Niue Isl., ZK2. Tommy, VK2IR is planning a trip for Nov 22-29. His call
is not sure yet but he intends to be QRV on 6-40m. Next stop shall be
Tonga. (QSP de DXNL 1269)
Grenland, OX. Acording to Jorgen OZ0J, during the resent XP1AB opera-
tion a total of 106 QSOs were made at six meters. Contact with follow-
ing countries were made, DL, LZ, 9A, I, YO, UT, OE, S5, 9H, SV and EH.
Galapagos Islands, HC8N. Jon N0JK writes; Due to early arrivals the
HC8N station EI59 will be QRV on 6 Meters from 2300Z on Nov 17 to 1600Z
on Nov 28. Trey, N5KO will have a cell phone at the shack, thus we can
receive calls to alert us of propagation or comments regarding opera-
ting. The Cell number is +593 9 956-5940 This is Trey's personal cell
phone rather than the shack cell phone, so when he leaves, the phone
leaves. Cell phone service can be intermittent. HC8N runs 100 watts and
a 6M7JHV yagi on 6M. I will be at HC8N Nov. 20 - 26. We will make an
effort to work Europe and Asia. The 6M station will be QRV even while
the CQ WW Contest is in progress. HC8N will also be QRV on 2M for TEP
and on the Fuji and AO-10 SATs. Please look for HC8N on 160 - 10M in
the CQ WW contest. Pictures of HC8N 6M yagi, operating position and SAT
