Hi Especially fellow 6m hams in UK.. I have a AKD 6001 6m transciever with
poor receive sensitivity. Is this a known problem or is there a fix? The
receiver seems to lack sensitivity compared to the Ten Tek transverter I have
here. Alignment has not helped. What about a RF preamp, is a suitable circuit
in existance to do some pre amplification. I see the RF amp used is a BF 981
is this a reasonable mosfet. It certainly is lacking something at the moment.
The TX side is perfect great output.
