   Denmark, OZ. EDR Vestfyn branch will participate in the anual VHF
   Fieldday, from July 3rd. 14:00 UT to July 4th. 14:00 UT, using the
   call OZ5VF/P from JO45XG near Ebberup at the Island of Fyn. Our spot
   QRG's will be round (+/-QRM) 50.173 MHz, 144.173 MHz or 144.273 MHz
   and 432.173 MHz. The team will among others consist of OZ4CQ, OZ6CQ
   (teamleader) & OZ6OM/OZ7M. All qualifed VHF operators. hpe cu de

   Scotland, GM. Robin M1DUD, writes; News of   Mike       I   tact     
   Venezuela, YV. The Grupo DX Caracas and the Association of Radioama-
   teurs of Venezuela (ARV) are organizing DXpedition Cayo Sombrero in
   the Falcon State group. Look for YW1F to be active (SSB and CW) on HF
   and 6 metres between 20 and 24 July. Direct QSLs to W4SO (mail drop);

   Guadeloupe, FG. Cancellation ! My oldest daughter was involved in a
   serious car accident over the weekend. She struck a large deer at high-
   way speed. Fortunately she was not serously injured, but this event has
   been traumatic for her, my family and me. This is not the time to be
   traveling outside the country away from my family. I am cancelling my

   Sardinia, IS0. - and wet squares. IW1DIM Freddy, writes; Hi, Also this
   year i want to go for the summery vacations in to my home in Sardinia
   Isl. (S. Teresa of Gallura - jn41of) between 3 to 31 august. Like
   always i want to be active on Six with my IC706 MKII and two different
   antenna system, a vertical 5/8 wave and a two elements HB9CV. During
   this period of vacation, i want to be active also from JN51AX (rare
   grid square) in /MM condition, when we go to tuna fishing for some
   days. I hope that my availability can be of aid of many stations that
   still they have not worked IS0 on six or those rare locator. Best 73's

   USA, K. Special event. Gary K8BN, writes; October 20-21, 2001 0000Z
   Friday through Sunday night local, 0200 Z,(i.e. 50 hours). The members
   of the Central Arizona DX Association will conduct a special event ope-
   ration honoring the late Senator Barry M. Goldwater on October 20 and
   21st, 2001. The call-sign used will be the famous K7UGA. Operation will
   be on both SSB and CW, 160 through Six meters. Special commemorative
   QSL cards will be available for stations that send direct requests.
   QSL via the club station trustee, KC7V, at 6545 E Montgomery Rd. Cave
   Creek AZ 85331, for commemorative QSL’s, or via the W7-Bureau.
   Bureau reply QSL cards may not be the same. Any and all proceeds from
   this event will go to the CADXA Scholarship fund, administered by the

   Denmark, OZ. Ondra OK1CDJ, writes; A group of OK HAMs will be active
   from Bornholm (JO75IC) Island between 5th July (late afternoon) and
   9th July (morning QRT) ussing callsign OZ/OK5DX/P on 50, 144, 432,
   1296MHz and 10Ghz with some activity on HF as well. On 144 MHz we will
   be also QRV for HSCW MS (Random 144.100, sked 144.115). For MS skeds
   we will be on 14.345 every morning 07:00Z and afternoon 18:00Z (out of
   contest of course). Main focus is participation in VHF/SHF/SHF IARU

   Turkey, TA. A QSP from Georges F8OP, says; From 23.7 to 30.7, TA0A
   Bozca Ada Island will be QRV 6m from KM29. JA operators. Info from

   Cooks Isl. North & South, ZK1. The operation from Manihiki, North
   Cooks is confirmed to take place between 18 October and 1 November.
   The operators will be Ralph, VE7XF/ZK1AKX; John, AA7PM/ZK1APM; Bob,
   W7TSQ/ZK1ASQ; Roger, W7VV/ZK1VVV; Victor, ZK1CG and Tuatai, ZK1MA/
   ZK1CY; they will participate in the CQ WW SSB DX Contest as ZK1CG.
   Then they will go to Rarotonga, South Cooks and be active between 1
   and 13 November. Activity from both places is expected on 2-160 metres
   (30 metres excluded) CW and SSB. Donations can be sent to W7VV (Roger

   Cambodia, XU. (Reminder) Angelo DC9KZ (SSB/RTTY/PSK31), Frank DL4KQ
   (CW), Bernd DL5OAB (CW), and Siegfried DL8KBJ (SSB), will operate as
   XU7ABR in CW/SSB on all bands including 6m between July 15 and Aug 3.

   U.K., G. 50/70 MHz Crossband. Just a note that G4FVP is now QRV on 70Mhz
   with 10 watts to a 4 element beam at 12m agl, Grid is IO94FM. I will be
   monitoring 50.185MHz for crossband QSO's. So far all I can hear is

   St. Kitts & Nevis, V4. V47UY Larry, KJ4UY, will be traveling back to
   St. Kitts and Nevis on July 19th. He will be operating from V44NK's QTH
   on Nevis from July 20 through 31. Look for activity on 6 through 160
   meters on CW, SSB, RTTY and possibly PSK. The primary bands being 10
   through 20 meters. RB, WB4FNH, possibly signing V47FNH, should join
   Larry the second week. QSL V47UY via KJ4UY and V47FNH via WB4FNH with
   SASE for USA stations and SAE plus IRC or $ for return postage. (The

   Caicos Island in the VP5 group and will have 6-meter equipment. I will
   be staying in the ham-vacation villa owned and fully equipped by K4ISV

   July 22nd. They will sign BV9A/JH3JWW and BV9A/JI3DST. Activity will be
