IARU REGION 1 50 MHz JUNE CONTEST - 2001
( CONTEST INTERNAZIONALE )

1 - Partecipanti Possono partecipare alla gara tutti i radioamatori
residenti nella Regione 1 della IARU che sono
autorizzati ad usare i 50 MHz. Stazioni multi
operatore saranno ugualmente accettate purche' solo
un callsign sia usato durante il contest. I
partecipanti sono tenuti ad operare rispettando
alla lettera lo spirito della gara e non dovrà
essere usata una potenza più grande di quella
permessa dalle licenze ordinarie del loro Paese.
Le stazioni che operano fuori dalle regole saranno
"FUORI CONCORSO" e non figureranno nella classifica
finale.
2 - Sezioni del La gara comprendera' le seguenti sezioni:
Contest
1) SINGOLO OP.
Stazioni "SINGOLO OPERATORE", senza
alcuna assistenza durante la gara,e che
usano privatamente un proprio
equipaggiamento,RTX,ANTENNA Ecc. che
operano da un qualsiasi luogo.
2) TUTTE GLI ALTRI PARTECIPANTI
Si deve usare una sola trasmittente nello
stesso momento.Una stazione partecipante
deve operare dallo stesso luogo per tutta
la durata del contest.
3 - Data del Contest Il contest iniziera' il primo Sabato di Giugno.
per l'edizione 2001 il 2 - 3 giugno.
4 - Durata del Il contest inizia alle 14.00 UTC di
Contest sabato(02-06-2001) e termina alle 14.00 UTC di
domenica (03-06-2001).
5 - Contatti Ogni stazione puo' operare in modo Fisso ,
Portatile, o Mobile è valido collegare una stazione
una sola volta se ci sono QSO doppi vanno
dichiarati (non vengono conteggiati ai fini del
punteggio finale).
I contatti fatti con ripetitori attivi, cross-band
, non sono validi. Contatti effettuati in fonia
nella sottobanda destinata alla telegrafia (CW
50.000-50.100) non sono validi ai fini del
punteggio.
I contatti possono essere effettuati in: A1A, R3A,
6 - Tipi di emissione A3E o F3E (G3E).
e frequenze Dovra' essere osservato il Bandplane IARU
Il Segmento "DX" 50100-50130 e' destinato
ESCLUSIVAMENTE al traffico INTERCONTINENTALE
7 - Scambi di I parametri scambiati durante ogni contatto sono i
rapporti rapporti RS o RST, seguiti da una serie di numeri
che cominciano con 001 per il primo contatto e
aumentano di uno per ogni contatto successivo.
Questo scambio deve immediatamente essere seguito
per intero(6 caratteri) o accorciato (4
caratteri)dal proprio WW-LOCATOR (Esempio:59001
JN64AH o 59002 JN64).
8 - Punteggio Il punteggio sara' assegnato sulla base di 1 punto
a Km, nel caso di WW-LOCATOR con 4 caratteri verra'
calcolata la distanza piu' corta fra le due
stazioni.
Il punteggio finale ottenuto deve essere mostrato
su foglio Log riepilogativo.
Affinche'si rendano i punteggi del contest
compatibili,per la conversione dai gradi ai Km un
fattore di 112.2 deve essere usato quando si
calcolano le distanze con l'aiuto dell'equazione
della geometria-sferica (Noordwijkerhout 1987).
9 - Concorrenti I concorrenti si debbono attenere alle regole
specificate piu' avanti per quanto concerne la
compilazione dei LOG.(Punto 12)
Le stazioni con piu'operatori debbono dichiararlo
sui LOG.
I log debbono essere inviati in copia cartacea ed
in copia magnetica, (dischetto 1,44MB) o via Email
al proprio Manager Nazionale non piu' tardi del 2°
LUNEDI (18-06-2001) che segue il fine settimana
della gara (Fa fede timbro postale). I ritardatari
non saranno accettati.
Inviando il foglio elettronico il formato deve
essere in .STD ; vedi programmi Fastlog-Taclog ecc.
Si RICHIEDE che i MANAGER NAZIONALI della REGIONE 1
facciano il controllo dei propri partecipanti e
mandino poi via Posta o via Packet oppure via Email
le classifiche finali del proprio Paese al Manager
Organizzatore (A.R.I. I4CIL) con i log su dischetto.
In questo caso il 2° Lunedi seguente il week-end
del Contest e'valido solo per i MANAGER NAZIONALI
della REGIONE 1.
L'invio del log implica che il partecipante accetta
tutte le regole della gara.
10 - Criteri di Il criterio di giudizio dei concorrenti sara'
Valutazione: responsabilita' della Nazione Organizzatrice, la
cui decisione sara' FINALE.
I partecipanti che contravvengono deliberatamente a
una qualsiasi di queste regole o che ignorano
evidentemente le "IARU REGION 1 BANDPLANS" saranno
squalificati.
Errori minimi potrebbero determinare una perdita di
punti.
Errori nei nominativi di chiamata e nei codici dei
numeri saranno penalizzati deducendo per entrambe
le stazioni la seguente percentuale del punteggio
ottenuto per il contatto spettato:
* 1 errore - 25 %
* 2 errori - 50 %
* 3 o piu' errori - 100%
Il contatto ottenuto sara' squalificato per un
WW-Locator dichiarato in modo sbagliato o per un
errore di tempo di piu' di 10 minuti.
Se c'e' un contatto doppio e questi non viene
dichiarato sara' penalizzato deducendo dal
punteggio 10 volte il numero dei punti per quel
doppio QSO.
11 - Premi Le prime 3 Stazioni di ogni sezione saranno
premiate con TROFEI (A.R.I.)
Le migliori di ogni paese a seconda della sezione
gli verra'dato un attestato (A.R.I.).
I log debbono essere in formato standard,non piu'
piccolo di un formato A4 e devono mostrare le
seguenti colonne nell'ordine che si da':
* data
* tempo UTC
* callsign della stazione lavorata
* rapporto inviato
* rapporto ricevuto
* Locator ricevuto
* numero di punti dichiarato
12 - Log I log debbono essere accompagnati da una pagina
riepilogativa dove sono riportati i dati del
CALL,della stazione e degli eventuali altri CALL, e
con lo spazio per eventuali commenti dei
partecipanti alla gara.
I log devono mostrare la firma del 1° operatore che
certifica la correttezza dell'accettazione delle
regole.

Il log deve contenere la firma del primo operatore
che certifichi anche la correttezza del log
inviato.
Fogli log predisposti dalle Associazioni nazionali
che soddisfino i requisiti minimi di cui sopra
potranno ugualmente essere usati.
Note - La conferenza IARU Regione 1 svoltasi a
Scheveningen (1972) ha deciso che:
a) ogni VHF Manager e/o Comitato
Nazionale Contest della Regione1sara'
responsabile del MONITORAGGIO durante il
Contest. Possono essere nominate anche
stazioni monitors aggiuntive.
b) contatti in fonia effettuati con
stazioni operanti nella banda destinata
alla telegrafia (50.000-50.100) non
conteranno per il punteggio finale.
c) il VHF Manager e/o Comitato Nazionale
Contest e'responsabile per l'eventuale
squalifica con riferimento a quanto
indicato ai commi a) e b) di cui sopra.
50 MHz Contest Manager ( A.R.I. )

IARU REGION 1 50 MHz JUNE CONTEST - 2001
1 - Eligible Entrants All radio amateurs in Region 1 who are
authorized to use 50 MHz can participate in the
contest. Multiple operator entries will be
accepted, provided only one callsign is used
during the contest. The contestants must
operate within the letter and spirit of the
contest and at no greater power than permitted
in the ordinary licenses of their country.
Stations operating under special high power
licenses do so "hors concours" and cannot be
placed in the contest proper.
2 - Contest Sections The contest will comprise the following
sections:
i) SINGLE OP - stations operated by a
single operator, with no assistance
during the contest, using privately
owned equipment and antennas and
ii) ALL OTHER ENTRANTS
No more than one transmitter may be use any one
time.
A participating station must operate from the
same location throughout the event.
3 - Date of Contest The contest will begin on the first Saturday of
June.
for 2001 edition: JUNE, 2th-3th, 2001
4 - Duration of Contest The contest will commence at 1400 hours UTC on
the Saturday and will end at 1400 hours UTC on
the Sunday.
5 - Contacts Each station can be worked only once, whether
it is fixed, portable or mobile. If a station
is worked again during the same contest, only
one contact will count for points, but any
duplicate contacts should be logged without
claim for points and clearly marked as
duplicates.
Contacts made via active repeaters do not count
for points. Any telephony contacts made with
stations transmitting in the telegraphy
sub-band (50.000-50.100) shall not count for
points.
6 - Type of emission and Contacts may be made in A1A, A3E, R3A or F3E
frequencies (G3E).
The IARU Region Bandplan for 50 MHz must be
observed.
The "DX-segment" 50.100-50.130 MHz is for
inter-continental trafic ONLY.
7 - Contest exchanges Code numbers exchanged during each contact
shall consist of the RS or RST report, followed
by a serial number commencing with 001 for the
first contact and increasing by one for each
successive contact. This exchange must
immediately be followed by the complete (6
character) or shortened (4 character) Locator
of the sending station (examples: 59003 JN64ah
or 579123 JN64).
8 - Scoring Points will be scored on the basis of one point
per kilometre. In case the 4-character Locator
has been received, the distance calculated
should be the shortest distance between the
claiming station and the given Locator square.
The final claimed score must be shown on the
top part of the first sheet.
In order to make contest scores comparable, for
the conversion from degrees to kilometres a
factor of 111.2 should be used when calculating
distances with the aid of the spherical
geometry equation (Noordwijkerhout, 1987).
9 - Entries The entries must be set out on log sheets
fulfilling the requirements given under rule
12. Multi-operator stations shall be clearly
marked as such. A copy of the logs must be sent
in papery copy and magnetic copy (diskette
1,44MB) or by E-mail to the national VHF
manager or the national Contest Committee
postmarked not later than the second Monday
following the contest weekend (18. June 2001).
Late entries will not be accepted. The
submission of the logs implies that the entrant
accepts the contest rules.
Sending the electronic sheet the format you
must be in .STD;you see Fastlog , Taclog etc.
Is required that the National Managers of the
Region 1 does the control of the own
participants and sends then by Mail or by
Packet or by E-mail the final classifications
of the own Country to the Manager Organizer (
A.R.I. I4CIL ) with the log on diskette.
10 - Judging of entries The judging of the entries shall be the
responsibility of the organising society, whose
decision shall be final. Entrants deliberately
contravening any of these rules or flagrantly
disregarding the IARU Region 1 bandplans shall
be disqualified (1).
Minos errors may result in loss of points.
Errors in the callsigns and code numbers will
be penalized by deducting for both stations the
following percentage of the score claimed for
the pertaining contact:
1 error - 25%
2 errors - 50%
3 errors or more - 100%.
10.1 At the IARU Region 1 Conference in
Scheveningen (1972) it was decided that to
effect this:
a) each VHF Manager and/or national Contest
Committee shall be responsible for monitoring
during contests. Additional monitoring stations
may be appointed but these stations may not
take part in the contest.
b) telephony contacts made with stations
operating in the telegraphy subband shall not
count for points.
c) the national VHF Manager/Contest Committee
is responsible for disqualification based upon
the results obtained from a) and b) above.
10.2 The claimed contact will be disqualified
for an obviously wrongly stated Locator or a
time error of more than 10 minutes.
10.3 Claiming points for a duplicate contact
will be penalized by deducting ten times the
number of points claimed for that duplicate
contact from the score.
The contest entrants will not be penalized for
the failure of non-entrants to comply with the
rules.
11 - Awards The winner 3 Station in each section will
receive a TROPHIES ( A.R.I. ).
The Best of each Country according to the
section will receive certificate ( A.R.I. ).
The logsheets for use in the IARU Region 1
contest shall have an upright format not
smaller than A4 and shall show the following
columns in the order named:
* date
* time UTC
* callsign of the station worked
* report sent
* report received
* Locator received
* number of points claimed
A standard cover sheet, containing the
essential information required to judge the
contest entry and with separate space for the
comments of the national Contest Manager should
be used.
The log should show the signature of the first
operator certifying the correctness of the log
submitted.
12 - Logsheets Logsheets prepared by the national societies
and satisfying the above minimum requirements
may be used.
13 - Remarks The following note is for the information of
the participating societies. They may include
them at their discretion in the rules published
nationally.
Rule 9: The number of log copies to be
submitted is left to the discretion of the
national society, which may e.g. want a second
copy for the judging of a simultaneously held
national contest.
