Hi magic band users.
Today I heard the best openning so far this year into EU, from about
lunchtime here in Central South Coast UK there was just about everyone and
his dog calling CQ on 6. I managed a few contacts into Italy, Croatia and
Czech Republic (Or whatever it's called now). Even managed a SSTV contact
into Slovenia with a 595 report. First SSTV I've worked for a while, even
had to solder a cable together to go between the radio and SSTV Interface,
hoping that the station would still be there once I had gathered all the
bits together and done the job. He was!!! S53X was logged. No sweat with
my small station.
Looking forward to some more in the Magic Band in the coming
weeks/months... See you there...
Equipment:-
FDK Multi 750X 2 Metre Multimode into Home brew Transverter. 15Watts PEP
out, into Tri Band Co-Linear approx 70 Feet above Ground level in the
Centre of Portsmouth.
