   Bhutan, A5. A51AA Yeshey, has promised to put back his 6M beam and
   become QRV on 6M. (The 50 MHz DX Bulletin, VK4CP) (QSP de SMIRK)
   
   Marshall Islands, V7. V73GOD will be QRV from Johnston Atoll 25/26
   April 2001 (VK4CP 4/13/01) (QSP de SMIRK)
   
   Botswana & Zambia Two local operators, ZS6JON and ZS6ARQ leave for
   Northern Botswana & Zambia. They will arrive in Kasane, Botswana (KH22)
   on 14 April and will operate as A25/ZS6JON or ZS6ARQ on 14-15-16 and as
   9J2LS or 9J2RN on 17-18 from Livingston, Zambia (same grid), returning
   home to Johannesburg 19-20 April. They will run 100 watts to a 5 elem.
   beam while there and will be operating mobile from some rare squares in
   Botswana during trip. QSLs via home call. (QSP de SMIRK)
   
   Fiji/Rotuma, 3D2NV Kit, JA1NVF, expects to once again be QRV from Fiji
   and a side trip to Rotuma Island. Look for him to be active as 3D2NV/P
   on Rotuma from April 27 to May 4. Next he'll be active from Fiji as
   3D2NV between May 4 and 7. Activity is planned for 6 through 40 meters

   Mariana Isl. KH0. Look for Taka, KH0/JR3TVH and Natsu, KH0/JJ3NAW to

   nounce the DDFM French contest on six meters which is organized by F1PUX
   and F8OP, members of the REF contest committee. To improve the activity
   on 6 meters and give a chance to work many French departments, the REF
   organizes a 6 meters contest. Name of the Contest: DDFM CONTEST (French
   Departments Contest) Date: Saturday 16.06.2001 Time: 04.00 to 16.00 UTC
   (12 hours) Mode: CW/SSB Sections : 1 French stations. 2 Rest of Europe.
   Frequency: 50.200 and up (QSO's between 50.090 and 50.199 are not va-
   lid). Call: CQ F5XYZ/71 (Callsign/Nr of department). Exchange: The con-
   test exchange shall consist of: Callsign. RS(T) and serial number. Loc-
   ator (only 4 characters) e.g. 599001 JN26. Scoring: One point is scored
   per contact. Multiply by: the total number of french locators worked.
   SCORE = CONTACTS POINTS x LOCATORS. e.g. 20 QSO x 10 Locators = 200
   points. Other Rules: The contest is open to all users of 50 MHz. All
   licence conditions must be observed. During the contest it is prohibi-
   ted to solicit contacts by using packet or cluster. Entries: Logs can
   be in any format. A chek list of locator squares worked must be inclu-
   ded with your entry. The following declaration must be also included
   with your entry: "All rules governing amateur radio in my country have
   been respected, and I agree the contest manager's decision is final".

   QSL info needed !. Hello. I have need QSL info and hope somebody can
   help. I did work 4U0ITU on 6 meter in June 1995. The first qso was 2/6
   on cw and on 10/6 on ssb. Can you find any QSL info who was the op and

   Ukraine, UZ5. Look for grid square LN08 and LN09 to be active from June
   2-11th, by UX2MM, UX2MF, UX5MZ, UR5LCV, UX7MX, UX7MA, UR3MP, UR5MID and
   UR5EAW. The group of Ukrainians will be active as UZ5M in the IARU1 50

   Guam & Micronesia, KH2 & V6. V63YV; KH2/JA1WPX Tada, JA1WPX, will be
   spending his Golden Week Holidays on Yap Island from April 30 to May 3
   and may take one or two days on Guam. He will use V63YV on Yap and
   KH2/JA1WPX on Guam. Tada is a well known Japanese DXer who enjoys
   island hopping. Look for activity on 6 through 40 meters on SSB and

   Maldives, 8Q. 8Q7JY Shigeo, JA1JQY, plans to spend his Golden Week Ho-
   lidays in the Maldives with his family between April 28 and May 3. He
   is a member of the Yamato club, JA1ZEK, and has operated as XV5JY,T22JY,
   3D2SH etc. Shigeo will use 8Q7JY on 6 through 40 meters with a IC-726MK2
   For antennas he will use a multi-band dipole for HF and 2 element loop
   for 6 meters. Activity will be mainly on CW and some SSB. QSL via home

   Mayotte, FH. FH/JJ1LIB Yutaka, JJ1LIB, will be spending his Golden Week
   Holidays on Mayotte Island between April 29 and May 4. He was one of
   the operators of S07U and 5T5U. Yutaka will use FH/JJ1LIB on 6 through
   40 meters with a TS-570SG and IC2KL. For antennas he will have a 2 ele.
   multi-band antenna for 10-20 meters (include WARC), a 40 meter dipole
   and a 5 or 6 element 6 meter Yagi. He hopes to be QRV mainly on RTTY

   Wallis Isl., FW. F8OP Georges, writes; "Since march 23th, Guy, FW5ZL
   is QRV 6 meters in Wallis island, with a IC 551 and a 4 el HB9CV. Very
   good openings each day into JA, VK, VR2, FK, FO a.s.o. around 08.00 UT.
   To date, Guy has completed 1.500 QSO's. He doesn't know his QRA locator
   (who could help him ?) He hopes to work Europe soon". Georges F8OP
   
   Crete, SV9. Laurent, F8BBL, announced he'll be QRV from Crete Island
   from June 25 to July 2. He plans to be active on 6 through 160 meters
   CW and SSB as SV9/F8BBL. Equipment will include an IC706MKII running

   Monaco, 3A. Italian 3A expedition in June. Hi Friends! I am happy to
   tell you that the Italian group coming from I5 got the official per-
   mission to operate from our country the 1,2,3 June 2001, also 50 MHz
   with 100W. I hope that many stations will make the contact with them!
