Nigeria, 5N. Sergio IK0FTA, writes; 5N9AEM & 5N9RGP QSL's. Just talk
with Rino IK7JTF (5N9RGP and 5N9AEM QSL Manager and also plenty other
DX stations). He apologise with all radio Ham because of delay on re-
playing to received QSL, because of some personal troubles, but he
garantie that,as soon is possible, he will replay to every request.
One other problem is that Rino has finish the 5N9AEM (portable 8 and
6 and also 5N40aem) qsl and is waiting to restamp new qsl. This will
take some time. Some other time will take the dispatch of 5N9AEM log
book via mail and this append only twice a year (last arrive: DEC.
2000; Next arrive: SUMMER 2001 !!) So be patient that Rino as soon he
will be able will replay to all request 73 de SixItalia (IK0FTA)
Chad Rep., TT. For several reasons, I have decided to take a trip to
TT8 next 4 month (start May 2001) (sorry Chris) and I don't ask any
help like 3 years ago (no 6m module no preamp no amp or paper or any
sponsor... w) you can try to call me if you heard me (poor signal in
this sun cycle but my last from exotic location), no double please and
looking northern part of Europe first (operating - I try to catch again
same call TT8JE. Eric F5JKK f5jkk@aol.com (QSP de UKSMG ann.)
The Sovereign Base Areas (Cyprus), ZC4. The WSBA Club (where all 6m ope-
ration by ZC4ATC, RAF, FL etc. is) TS-690 has to be returned to HQ in a
few weeks. We do have an FT-767, though, and would be very happy if any-
one can donate or sell us cheap a 6m module for it. We can then promise
more activity on six in the Es season. BTW we are also licenced for 4m,
but have no equipment. Nick 5B4FL / ZC4FL (QSP de UKSMG ann.)
Jamaica, 6Y. 6Y6L A team of 5 Amateur Radio operators has made advanced

power stations and two 100 watt stations on 6 through 160 meters. Look
for 6Y6L on CW, SSB and PSK from October 23 to 30. The group plans to
have beams on 30 meters and higher with verticals on the low bands. QSL

South Pacific Tour. There is a good possibility that Gerard, PA3AXU,
will be on 6M from Tarawa, Nauru, and Fiji in September. He is looking
for support to help defray the transportation costs. Check his web

following: I am planning to go to the Galapagos in May to operate with
the HC8N crew in the CQ WPX CW contest. I will operate 6M before and
after the contest. The HC8N CQ WW CW ops probably worked everyone who
needed HC8 on 6M last fall, but if anyone still needs it - I will be
QRV 6M May 23 - 28. May run a breakable CW beacon on 50.105. There is
a fair chance of Es to the states as well as F2 to other parts of the
world. Will have 2M ssb along for TEP and tropo. 73, Jon N0JK
HC8N was very active on 6 last year. Hopefully we will have good pro-
pagation. 73, Dale N. Richardson, AA5XE Webmaster, http://www.smirk.org

Spain, EA/EH. Jose EA7KW, writes; Being a very montainous country, has
a huge network of TV repeaters. Setting high and powerful VHF transmit-
ters was at the begining the first solution to provide a wide coverage.
The big 250 Kw ERP TV tx on channel 2, Navacerrada, and almost all
Spanish VHF TV, channels 2-11, must be closing soon due to the arrival
of the terrestrial digital radio and its allocation on VHF band II and
the reallocation of band I to the new or existing UHF TV channels. The
EA 48.250,2 "beacon" must QRT not late than July 31st 2001. Explanation

for the closing deadline. 73 de EA7KW Jose
Bosnia, T9. Ed N5JEH, writes; I will again be operating from T9(Bosnia)
April 16-23 2001. I will have IC-706 Loop antenna on 50 mhz and vert.
antenna for hf. I will spend as much time on 6 meters as posible. I
operated from here last June with some contacts. Call will be T9/N5JEH
JN93 73 Ed N5JEH.
Marshall Isl., V7. Tom, K7ZZ, informs OPDX that plans for the expedi-
tion to Enewetak (part of the Marshall Island group) on April 19-26th
are going smoothly. Antennas are a small tri-bander, a log for 10-6
meters, and a R-7000 vertical plus a wire dipole for the low bands.
Propogation predictions show a slim chance of a 10 meter opening to
Europe, but lots of chances on 15 meters. All other areas should have
lots of openings. The callsign V73E has been issued/assigned. QSL
cards go to WF5T. (QSP de OPDX #504)
