The Grenadines, J8. Angel WA2VUY, writes; WA2VUY, NO2R, and W2EN will
be operating from The Grenadines October 23 to October 31st. They will
sign J8/homecall prior to CQWW SSB; they hope to obtain a special call-
sign for the contest. ALL qsls via W2EN. All bands, cw & ssb; ssb focus
during contest. We will monitor 50.110 for any openings, including du-
ring the CQWW weekend.
Aguilla VP2E. Joe W8GEX, Harry AC8G (ex W8KKF ), and Ron W8ILC, are
heading to the Carribean - this time to Anguilla for CQWW SSB. Joe's
call is VP2EP and Harry's is VP2EH. They should be QRV Oct. 26, to

plan to operate the CQ WW SSB Contest from Guadeloupe. The group plans

West African tour. DL7DF, DL7BO, DL7UFR, DL4WK and DJ7UC will go on DX-
pedition again, this time to Togo from Oct 3-9 and to Burkina Faso from
Oct 10-15. Their calls will be announced upon arrival and intentions
are to operate 4 radios, 2 amps, verticals and beams in SSB/CW/RTTY on
all HF bands and 6m with their emphasis put on the lowbands. QRGs, logs

ble to add webmap all missing grids from Finland, You can use 6m / 2m /
70cm / 23cm tropo+ms. Please not over 700km in 6m+2m tropos, but if you
work Meteor Scatter, then up to 2000km. List is made for operators, who
plan expeditions, and just "never" is ES during trip. (Like June 1998
KP55/KP45 just one ES qso in 6m during 6 days) So wellcome and click in

Midway, NH4. Ted NH6YK writes; Aloha. I was on KH4 two weekends ago
signing NH4/NH6YK. Sept 17-21 (UT) 6 M was open a couple times, VK4, 3D2
T30, V73, and YJ went into the log for 3 new ones on 6 m. from Midway
for me. I may have heard one JA station, and definitly heard others in
the Pacific working JA. No Hawaii activity was heard, though my friends
at home heard the VK4s calling me. I was using an ex-Navy HF vertical
which seemed to load up OK on 6M and was an interim solution. I wasn't
able to get the beam up while I was operating, but the Maspro 5el beam
was put up the next day in a fixed direction, and the rotor will be
installed shortly. With luck, we will have more activity on 6M from
Midway in the near future, I really hope so, since I don't have KH4
from home! Anyone needing information on operating from KH4 is welcome

F5XAL JN12LL on 144.476 MHz running 100w eirp into a 5 el. horiz. yagi

Vanatu, YJ. The Prairie DX Group is pleased to announce their 2nd DX-
pedition to take place between November 18-28th, from Vanuatu and Efate
Island. They will be operating at least two stations around the clock
(24/7) and possibly more on 160-6 meters SSB, CW, RTTY, SSTV and PSK31.
The six members of the traveling team are: Rick/KF9ZZ, Todd/W9YK, Fred/
KF9YL, Mike/N9WM, Bill/W8LVN and Tim/KB9QYL. The callsigns for the DX-
pedition is to be announced (TBA) later. Their QSL route is via N9PD

Tonga, A3. Hrane/YT1AD and Dragan/Z32AU are active as A35AD and A35AU
until October 28. After Tonga Island, they will be operating as YJ0AD
and YJ0AU, between October 28 and November 5th. Activity will be on CW

Buthan, A5 (update) A Japanese team led by Yoosuke, JH1NBN (who has
been active from TI9X, TN7A, HK0, and etc.) will be active from Paro,
Bhutan, between October 27th and November 3rd. The team consists of
JA1PCY, JF1PJK, JH1NBN, JK1AFI and JR7TEQ. They will take three HF
transceivers and one 6 meters transiver for this DXpedition. They will
operate on all bands 160-6 meters, SSB/CW/RTTY. They will use their
own callsign (callsigns not mentioned). Some of members will partici-
pate in the CQWW DX SSB Contest while others will continue to be active
on CW/RTTY or the WARC bands during the contest. Although only using a
100 watts, they will try to work 160m and 80m with a 65 foot vertical.

frequency 50.080 Bases in Crimean mountains on the height 1300 m,above

North Cook, ZK1. JE2DWZ Yoshi, writes; ZK1/North Cook DX-pedition 2000
Yasu/JI1NJC has activated several small entities in the Pacific and
Indian Ocean with his company at least once a year in the past since
1989 (KH0, C2, T30, T2, ZK1/S, 3D2, A35, FW, 8Q7, S79, 3B8 etc.). This
Y2K as a peak of Cycle 23 Yasu will make another DX-citing trip with
Yu/JR2KDN who activated one of rare entities in SE Asia, Lao in 1998.
Of course the target is to work stations in everywhere as many as pos-
sible on ALL BANDS and also SPECIAL attention to 6m will be paid and
various propagations (e.g. Scatter, Skew path, Short path, Long path)
will be tried. Now we are very pleased to announce our upcoming DX-
citing/pedition for all of those who love DXing as follows: Destina-

Saint Peter and Saint Paul, PY0. Al Archangelo, PY2ZX, writes; Hello
friends, Thanks for all the e-mails. The DXpeditioners of the last
operation for Saint Peter and Saint Paul made one safety return to the
respective QTHs in Sao Paulo State. The station PS0S was unfortunately
for a few time active because power energy problems and the limited
period gives by the Navy for be stayed in the Archipelago, from 5 for
just 2 days, making operational problems specialy in SSB and RTTY
emitions. In this moment we would like to thanks all the friends and
institutions that helped us and, despite the modest results, whe hope
can be work a little in behalf of the DXism. The site will be con-
stantly updated like one support for the friends that are looking for
a bit more about one of the last frontiers of the brasilian territory;

Kiribati W, T30. A very productive 19th Sep 2000 on 50MHz at the T30JH
shack, the following worked in the period 2240-1330z: VK8, VK4, ZL,
KH8, KH6, KH4, FO, 3D2, YJ8, JA, VR2, and P29. Also heard the 4W6UN
beacon for over three hours 519 to 559 report. V73AT also heard weak

Mozambique, C9. Johan ON4ANT, writes. Sunday 17th september C91RF/P
finally into NW Europe. Having heard him from KG62 on 2 occasions, but
no QSO, I worked him lastm evening around 17.16 utc. He was in for 50
minutes, peaking 579 at times, but very few takers (most of time he
just CQ-ed) Did notice that due to my spot on cluster some started
calling him, but they where doubling with him, so guess they had no or
light copy, Jose EA7KW told me he runs a Halo from portable QTH. The
antennas payed off !, 30 km to the NW of me they had no copy. 73 Johan

Antigua and Barbuda, V2. Team Antigua will once again activate V26B in
this year's CQWW SSB Contest on October 28 - 29th. They plan to enter
the the contest as a Multioperator/Multi-transmitter category. Team
members will make special attempts to be active on RTTY, PSK31, 160
meters and the WARC Bands a few days before and after the contest.
There is also a possibility of some 6 meter and Satellite operations
with conditions permitting. Operators will make their presence felt on
all bands starting on or about October 25th until about November 1st.

Niue Island, ZK2VF. W7TVF will be active from Niue Island again from
November 19th through December 10th as ZK2VF. Operation will be from
160 meters to 6 meters. Priority will be given to Europe, Africa, and
South America on 160 and 80 meters during their grayline. An 847 will
be used as a beacon on six meters all the time that I am active so if
six opens I will be QRT on HF until six mtrs closes. QSL info is the

Marquesas Islands, FO0SIX. To all 6m enthusiasts, As I promised to
some of you I will go to Marquesas Nuku Hiva. Depending on propagation
the dates will be as follows: anytime between October 14th and October
29th 2000. I will stay at least one week between these two dates with
a maximum of two weeks as early as 14th October and of course not more
than 29th October. I will use my old rig donated by JA1BK 11 years ago
for the FO0CW expeditions in Australs and Marquesas Islands and a 100W
amp with a five elements beam. If there's no significant improvement in
ConDX I will have to cancel as 6m operation is the only and unique ob-
jective and aim of the trip. For this operation and for my future trip
to Australs Islands (3 - 18 March 2001) I managed to get a new callsign
FO0SIX which may become in the future a 6m beacon for French Polynesia.

Cayman Islands, ZF1DC. I just wanted to let you know that I (ZF1DC) is
active from the Cayman islands on a permenant basis. I run a Yaesu
FT736 and 100w with an 11 ele M2 beam up about 15 meters. I was born
here and currently live here so when I am not working I will usually
be monitoring 50.110. We have been having terrific opening as of late
to South America. Have also worked 9Y4, PY0F, ZD8, and OA during the

Mexico, XE1/AA6RX. I met Dave, XE1/AA6RX at Jimmy W6JKV/5's BBQ. He is
interested in 6M but only has a TS-440 HF radio. I loaned Dave my MFJ-
9406 10 watt 6M xcvr to take home. He plans to build a 3 el 6M yagi

Agalega, 3B6RF. Update. 9A4DU (instead of HB9FMU) will be a part of
the team of the DXpedition on Agalega. He will be working with the
3B6RF call sign from 5th of October till 22nd. All his free time there
he will use to monitor and work on 6 meters using FT920 and FT847 and
a 6 elements rotary yagi and 300 watts amplifier. On the international
6 meter coordination frequency 28.885 you can tell him about openings
and propagations. Please do use this frequency only for coordination
for 6 meters - there will be no logging on that frequency (for 10 m).
