IARU REGION 1 50 MHz JUNE CONTEST - 2000
(CONTEST INTERNAZIONALE) (English Below)
1- Partecipanti Possono partecipare alla gara tutti i radioamatori
residenti nella Regione 1 della IARU che sono autorizzati
ad usare i 50 MHz. Stazioni multi operatore saranno
ugualmente accettate purche' solo un callsign sia usato
durante il contest. I partecipanti sono tenuti ad operare
rispettando alla lettera lo spirito della gara e non dovra'
essere usata una potenza piu' grande di quella permessa
dalle licenze ordinarie del loro paese. Stazioni operanti
con licenze speciali che consentono l'uso di potenze
particolarmente alte "fuori classe" non possono essere
ammesse a partecipare.
Il contest comprende le seguenti sezioni:
2 - Sezioni del a) SINGOLO OP. - Stazioni singolo operatore, non
Contest assistite, che usano attrezzature ed antenne
proprie, operanti da qualsiasi ubicazione.
b) TUTTE LE ALTRE CATEGORIE
Non puo' essere usata piu' di una trasmittente
contemporaneamente.
Una stazione partecipante alla gara deve operare dalla
stessa ubicazione per la durata di tutto l'evento.
3 - Data del Il contest avra' luogo il primo Sabato di Giugno.
Contest
per l'edizione 2000 il 3 - 4 giugno.
4 - Durata del Il contest avra' inizio alle 1400 UTC del Sabato e
Contest terminera' alle 1400 UTC della domenica.
5 - Contatti Ciascuna stazione puo' essere lavorata solo una volta, sia
essa fissa, portatile o mobile. Se una stazione viene
contattata di nuovo durante la stessa gara, solo uno qso
varra' ai fini del punteggio; qualsiasi qso duplicato deve
essere chiaramente segnato come doppio e non conteggiato
ai fini del punteggio.
Contatti effettuati tramite ripetitori attivi non contano
ai fini del punteggio. Contatti effettuati in fonia nella
sottobanda destinata alla telegrafia (50.000-50.100) non
sono validi alla fine del punteggio.
6 - Tipi di I contatti possono essere effettuati in: A1A, A3E o F3E
emissione e (G3E).

Il Segmento "DX" 50100-50130 e' destinato ESCLUSIVAMENTE
al traffico INTERCONTINENTALE
7 - Scambi di Durante ciascuno contatto andranno passati i rapporti col
rapporti codice RS o RST, seguito da un numero progressivo a
cominciare col n. 001 per il primo contatto ed aumentere
di uno per ciascuno contatto successivo. Questi rapporti
devono essere seguiti immediatamente dal completo Locatore
(6 caratteri) o da quello breve (4 caratteri) del stazione
trasmittente (exampio: 59005 JN95FQ or 599004, JN85).
I punti saranno calcolati sulla base di uno punto per
chilometro. In caso fosse stato ricevuto il Locator a 4
caratteri, la distanza andra' calcolata sulla base di
quella piu' corta tra la stazione partecipante ed il
Locatore della stazione che ha passato soli i 4 digit.
8 - Punteggio Il risultato finale dichiarato deve essere chiaramente
indicato in alto sul primo foglio del log.
Per rendere compatibili i punteggi, per la conversione da
gradi a chilometri dovrebbe essere usato il fattore 111.2
si effettua il calcolo delle distanze con l' aiuto della
equazione geometrica della sfera (Noordwijkerhout 1987).
9 - Log I partecipanti devono inviare i fogli log compilati
secondo quanto previsto nel successivo punto 12.
Le stazioni multi operatore lo dovranno indicare
chiaramente. Una copia del log deve essere spedita Manager
nazionale VHF o al Comitato nazionale Contest entro e non
oltre il secondo lunedi' seguente il week-end della gara,
fara' fede il timbro postale (19. Giugno 2000). Log inviati
in ritardo non saranno accettati. L'invio dei log implica
che il partecipante accetta tutte le regole della gara.

10 - La commissione giudicante della societa' organizzatrice
Commissione sara' responsabile del risultato dei partecipanti e le sue
Giudicante: decisioni saranno inappellabili. I partecipanti che
intenzionalme'nte contravvenissero ad una qualsiasi di
queste regole o che fossero colte in flagrante nel non
rispettare il bandplans IARU Regione 1sara' squalificato.
Errori minori possono comportare la perdita di punti.
Errori nel callsigns e numeri di codice saranno
penalizzati riducendo per ambo le stazioni la seguente
percentuale dal punteggio dichiarato per il contatto
errato:
1 errore- 25%
2 errori- 50%
3 errori o piu'- 100%.
10.1 La conferenza IARU tenutasi a Scheveningen (1972) ha
deciso chi debba effettuare cio':
a) ciascuno VHF manager e/o Comitato Nazionale Contest
sara' responsible del monitoraggio durante il contest.
Possono essre nominate anche stazioni monitors aggiuntive
ma queste non possono prendere parte alla gara.
b) contatti in fonia effettuati con stazioni operanti
nella banda destinata alla telegrafia non conteranno per
il punteggio finale.
c) il VHF manager e/o Comitato Nazionale Contest e'
responsabile per l'eventuale squalifica con riferimento a
quanto indicato ai commi a) e b) di cui sopra.
10.2 Il contatto sara' completamente annullato per un
evidente errore nel locator o per un errore
nell'indicazione dell'ora del qso superiore a 10 minuti.
10.3 Richiedere punti per un contatto duplicato comportera'
una penalita' pari a dieci volte i punti richiesti per quel
contatto.
I partecipanti alla gara non saranno penalizzati per gli
errori di coloro che non partecipano alla gara stessa.
11 - Premi Le tre migliori stazioni di ciascuna sezione saranno
premieti dalla HRS.
Il miglior classificato per ciascun paese, in ciascuna
categoria ricevera' un Diploma della HRS.
12 - Log I fogli log in uso per i contest della IARU Regione 1
avranno forma verticale con dimensioni non inferiori al
formato A4 e disporranno delle seguenti colonne nel
seguente ordine:
* data
* tempo UTC
* callsign della stazione lavorata
* rapporto inviato
* rapporto ricevuto
* Locator ricevuto
* numero di punti dichiarato
Deve essere allegato un foglio standard, contenente le
informazioni essenziali necessarie alla commissione
giudicante la gara con riservato uno spazio separato per i
commenti del Contest Manager nazionale.
Il log deve contenere la firma del primo operatore che
certifichi anche la correttezza del log inviato.
Fogli log predisposti dalle Associazioni nazionali che
soddisfino i requisiti minimi di cui sopra potranno
ugualmente essere usati.

IARU REGION 1 50 MHz JUNE CONTEST - 2000
1 - Eligible All radio amateurs in Region 1 who are authorized to
Entrants use 50 MHz can participate in the contest. Multiple
operator entries will be accepted, provided only one
callsign is used during the contest. The contestants
must operate within the letter and spirit of the
contest and at no greater power than permitted in the
ordinary licenses of their country. Stations operating
under special high power licenses do so "hors concours"
and cannot be placed in the contest proper.
The contest will comprise the following sections:
2 - Contest a) SINGLE OP - stations operated by a single
Sections operator, with no assistance during the
contest, using privately owned equipment and
antennas and operating from any location.
b) ALL OTHER ENTRANTS
No more than one transmitter may be use any one time.
A participating station must operate from the same
location throughout the event.
3 - Date of The contest will begin on the first Saturday of June.
Contest
for 2000 edition: JUNE, 3th-4th, 2000
4 - Duration of The contest will commence at 1400 hours UTC on the
Contest Saturday and will end at 1400 hours UTC on the Sunday.
5 - Contacts Each station can be worked only once, whether it is
fixed, portable or mobile. If a station is worked again
during the same contest, only one contact will count
for points, but any duplicate contacts should be logged
without claim for points and clearly marked as
duplicates.
Contacts made via active repeaters do not count for
points. Any telephony contacts made with stations
transmitting in the telegraphy sub-band (50.000-50.100)
shall not count for points.
6 - Type of Contacts may be made in A1A, A3E or F3E (G3E).

frequencies The "DX-segment" 50.100-50.130 MHz is for
inter-continental trafic ONLY.
7 - Contest Code numbers exchanged during each contact shall
exchanges consist of the RS or RST report, followed by a serial
number commencing with 001 for the first contact and
increasing by one for each successive contact. This
exchange must immediately be followed by the complete
(6 character) or shortened (4 character) Locator of the
sending station (examples: 59005 JN95FQ or 599004
JN85).
Points will be scored on the basis of one point per
kilometre. In case the 4-character Locator has been
received, the distance calculated should be the
shortest distance between the claiming station and the
given Locator square.
8 - Scoring The final claimed score must be shown on the top part
of the first sheet.
In order to make contest scores comparable, for the
conversion from degrees to kilometres a factor of 111.2
should be used when calculating distances with the aid
of the spherical geometry equation (Noordwijkerhout,
1987)
9 - Entries The entries must be set out on log sheets fulfilling
the requirements given under rule 12. Multi-operator
stations shall be clearly marked as such. A copy of the
logs must be sent to the national VHF manager or the
national Contest Committee postmarked not later than
the second Monday following the contest weekend (19.
June 2000). Late entries will not be accepted. The
submission of the logs implies that the entrant accepts
the contest rules.
10 - Judging of The judging of the entries shall be the responsibility
entries of the organising society, whose decision shall be
final. Entrants deliberately contravening any of these
rules or flagrantly disregarding the IARU Region 1
bandplans shall be disqualified (1).
Minos errors may result in loss of points. Errors in
the callsigns and code numbers will be penalized by
deducting for both stations the following percentage of
the score claimed for the pertaining contact:
1 error - 25%
2 errors - 50%
3 errors or more - 100%.
10.1 At the IARU Region 1 Conference in Scheveningen
(1972) it was decided that to effect this:
a) each VHF Manager and/or national Contest Committee
shall be responsible for monitoring during contests.
Additional monitoring stations may be appointed but
these stations may not take part in the contest.
b) telephony contacts made with stations operating in
the telegraphy subband shall not count for points.
c) the national VHF Manager/Contest Committee is
responsible for disqualification based upon the results
obtained from a) and b) above.
10.2 The claimed contact will be disqualified for an
obviously wrongly stated Locator or a time error of
more than 10 minutes.
10.3 Claiming points for a duplicate contact will be
penalized by deducting ten times the number of points
claimed for that duplicate contact from the score.
The contest entrants will not be penalized for the
failure of non-entrants to comply with the rules.
11 - Awards The three best stations in each section will be awarded
with HRS Trophies.
The best one from each country, in each categorie will
receive the HRS Contest Certificate
12 - Logsheets The logsheets for use in the IARU Region 1 contest
shall have an upright format not smaller than A4 and
shall show the following columns in the order named:
* date
* time UTC
* callsign of the station worked
* report sent
* report received
* Locator received
* number of points claimed
A standard cover sheet, containing the essential
information required to judge the contest entry and
with separate space for the comments of the national
Contest Manager should be used.
The log should show the signature of the first operator
certifying the correctness of the log submitted.
Logsheets prepared by the national societies and
satisfying the above minimum requirements may be used.
