The Linksys WRT54GS WLAN-Router is a powerful cheap device useable for hamradio. It is about 75,- €, but you have to care which subversion you buy. Please check <http://openwrt.org> and <http://www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/LinksysWRT54GS> for further details about flash memory and capabilities to use OpenWRT.

Packet Radio Shell Scripting ('PRSS')

Packet radio shell scripting ((c) dl3sjb) can be used to implement automated operations on the packet radio network using the well-known UNIX scripting language.

Shell scripting involves chaining several UNIX commands together to accomplish a task. For example, you might login into the packet radio node, perform several commands and then use the output (i.e. 'find dl3sjb' => 'dl3sjb found on db0sao') to react interactively. I'll show you how to do this be…

OpenWRT-Kamikaze 7.09 Image (Broadcom = Mipsel)

The image is intended for users of Broadcom hardware (e.g. Linksys WRT54). We have to use Kernel 2.4 due to missing Kernel 2.6 wireless lan drivers.

The difference to the normal kamikaze 7.09 release is the applied 9a4gl-patch to solve some AX.25-related bugs of the kernel. The image also has the “kmod-ax25-dg8ngn” activated as a standard. Module “ax25” and “mkiss” are loaded on startup (see /etc/modules.d).
